Tyre Diameter: R15, Profile: 80 | TVR Tuscan 1967 to 1971
TVR's Vixen seriously up-gunned with bigger Ford engines. All versions of the Tuscan were specified with a 185VR15 radial tyre.
Much like the earlier Griffith, the Tuscan was a very small car, with a very large engine.
The initial 1967 V8 version was based on the shorter-wheelbase Vixen S1, and fitted with a Ford 289 V8 and disc brakes all round. Like the Vixen S2, the Tuscan V8 got a longer wheelbase in 1968, and the SE version of 1970 got a wider body, and the Ford 302 engine, before production ended in 1971.
There was also a V6 engined version (using the Ford Essex V6), built from 1969 to 1971. This was closer in spec to the Vixen.
