Tyre Diameter: R13, Width: 185 | Triumph TR8 1979 to 1981

Mould-breaking V8 British sports car in coupe and convertible form. Built from 1979 to 1981. Originally fitted with a 185/70R13 radial tyre.

The TR7 was originally built to fit the Rover V8, but in the chaos of the period, this engine was fitted too late (1979) to save the reputation of the car. In 1981 the final TR7s and TR8s were built; US cars got Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection for this year only. Most of the factory cars went to the US, but there has always been a busy scene fitting the V8 into UK market 4 cylinder cars.
