Rolls Royce Silver Wraith
The final vestige of the pre-war motor company, the Silver Wraith was sold in the old way. Customers purchased a chassis, which was then supplied to a coachbuilder of choice for either an off-the-peg or bespoke set of bodywork. This big saloon was still being sold in 1959, having received regular engine and dynamic upgrades to reflect changes to the smaller cars.
Standard tyre fitment was a 650-17 crossply from 1946 to 1953, when there was a change to a 16-inch wheel, with a 750-16 crossply tyre.
