MG SA 1936 to 1939

Originally conceived as a competitor for Bentley and SS (Jaguar) sports tourers, the MG 2 Litre was released in 1936, in four-seater saloon form. Rakishly good-looking, and with excellent performance, it was well received as a great adjunct to the sportscar range. The war ended production, which was never restarted. A 4-seater open top tourer, and a drop-top coupe were built by other coachbuilders, soon after the SA (the name was applied much later) was released for sale.

All models had a 550-18 crossply tyre as standard.
