541 - Standard tyre was a 550-16 crossply, with optional fitments of 600-15, or 640-15 on a 15-inch wheel. An equivalent radial replacement size would be 550R16 for the 16-inch wheel, and 185R15 on the 15-inch wheel.

541R - Standard tyre was a 600-15 crossply, with an optional fitment of 640-15. An equivalent radial replacement size would be 185R15.

541S -Standard tyre was a 640-15 crossply (the earliest cars had the 600-15). An equivalent radial replacement size would be 185R15.

Jensen's first post-war car was a confident sportscar, bodied in fibreglass and powered by a big Austin six. Fast, reliable and full of character. The R is more powerful, and the later S was redesigned to provide more space inside the car.
