Tyre Diameter: 13, Width: 6.40 | Ford Zephyr & Zodiac Mk3 1962 to 1966
All saloon versions had a 640-13 crossply radial tyre. A radial equivalent would be a 640R13 or 640/700R13. Estate cars had a 670-13 crossply.
In a lot of ways this was probably the peak Zephyr/Zodiac, especially as the Mk3 became synonymous with the 'Z-Cars' TV show in the 60s. Larger and lower than the Mk2, it brought in a new transatlantic look, along with more interior space and a big boot. The Consul name was dropped, and so the models became the Zephyr 4, Zephyr 6, and Zodiac range-topper. The models had different front-end treatments, and a sliding scale of bling!
