Tyre Diameter: 13, Profile: 80, Width: 155 | Ford Consul Classic & Capri 1961 to 1963
All the models had a 560-13 crossply tyre as standard. A radial replacement size would be 155SR13.
Something of a blip in Ford's incredibly successful rise through the postwar decades. The Anglia 105E had been a huge success with its reverse-rake rear window and US fins, and so surely a larger version would be popular too? It wasn't. Perhaps it was a bit too much, but it's more likely that the Cortina was so good it took all the sales. This was a shame for the Capri, as it's coupe styling was excellent. All the models, even the GT, were underpowered.
