BMW New Six 1968 to 1977

BMW's new big saloon for the 1970s. Sharing styling cues with the 02 and E9 cars, as well as the straight-sxes from the latter, it was a success. Available in a variety of engine sizes, trims and power levels, some of which were particularly fast.

Standard tyre for the 2500 and 2800 models was a 175HR14, with the option of a 195/70HR14 (later the standard on 2800 from 1976).

3.0 and 3.3 Litre cars had a 195/70VR14 as standard.
