Mid-range saloon. The standard fitment was a 550-16 crossply tyre. If a radial tyre is required, then a 165R16 would be a comparable size.

Austin's large saloon was very much an upsized A40 Devon, fitted with a larger (prewar) engine. A bit more stately than the smaller car, and it sold quite healthily to the respectable!
