Standard tyre fitment was a 600-16 crossply. Radial alternatives would be 600R16, or 185R16.
Aston stopped using the DB2/4 name for the 3rd version of the car, and called it the DB MkIII instead. Which adds to the naming confusion for some, as it's not a DB3 (the name had already been used for a competition car), and it's replacement was the DB4. The styling had a significant overhaul, with the nose getting a far more sophisticated version of the DB2 grille, now the recognisable shape Aston continued to use for years to come. The rear hatch became more usable, and the rest of the exterior and interior was further neatened. There was more power from the 3 litre engine, and general improvements to the mechanicals.
