Armstrong Siddeley Star Sapphire 1958 to 1960

The last Armstrong Siddeley, and not a bad swansong really. Standard tyre size was a 650-16 crossply, with an optional 670-16. The limousine version had 15-inch wheels and 700-15 or 760-15 tyres.

 

A significantly upgraded Sapphire, with a larger, more powerful engine, the option of an automatic gearbox, tweaked styling and sparkling performance. A host of detail improvements made the Star a winner, so it was a shame when the factory closed and production ended.
