Pirelli P7 225/50VR15 91Y
The 1970s saw the rapid development of the supercar, huge leaps in power and speed demanded the invention of a new breed of ever wider and lower profile tyres. Pirelli made huge strides in this arena, releasing the P7 tyre in 1976, off the back of a period of development on the Lancia Stratos world rally car. Advanced internal construction allowed the reduction of profiles, even as width increased hugely.
Originally specified for the Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo, Lamborghini adopted it for the Urraco and Countach, followed by De Tomaso for their Pantera. Pirelli have reintroduced it in several sizes, using modern construction methods and materials, but in the original pattern.
This 225/50VR15 Pirelli Cinturato P7 tyre is ideal for the Porsche 911 Turbo (rear tyre), Lancia Stratos, Lamborghini Countach (front tyre), Maserati Karif (rear tyre), and TVR 390, 400 and 420.
This is a tubeless radial tyre.
