Dunlop Race CR48 650L16
Dunlop’s involvement in motor racing goes back to the earliest days of the sport, and the company is still a vital part of the vintage and historic racing world. Its classic racing designs are the MSA-specified tyres at popular events such as the Goodwood Revival, and the full range of tyres covers many eras of the sport.
The CR48 of 1962 was originally called the R6, and moved the game on from the R5 of the late 1950s, with improved construction and lower aspect ratios. The early 1960s were a period of fierce development in all aspects of motor racing, and Dunlop was at the forefront of new tyre design throughout. Like many of Dunlop’s historic range, the CR48 uses the ‘204’ compound, which balances grip and longevity, and is in 'L-Section.' These tyres are not road-legal.
This 650L-16 Dunlop Racing CR48 crossply tyre is suitable for use on wheels with a width of 5.5 to 7.5 inches, has an overall diameter of 729mm, a section width of 227mm and a tread width of 130mm.
